This week the children have been learning to add
using two decimal places (£, 10p, 1p) and then how to give “shopkeepers” change
by counting on, using a number line.
e.g. pen costs £3.57 and a book costs £2.82

using column addition.

Start with the pennies, then the
tens and finally the pounds.
