Year 4 Summer Term 2017
Welcome back after a wonderful Easter break. This term we will be starting our history
topic based on The Ancient Greeks. We have invited “History Off the Page” into
school to provide an insight into this period to support the children’s
understanding. This topic will also be
linked to our English work as well as our art and DT. In science we will be
investigating animals and their habitats.
Just a few general reminders...
- A full PE kit must be in school at all times please (including trainers)
- A named water bottle is also needed this term as the classrooms may get hot and PE takes place on the bottom field.
- Black indoor shoes please... Some children are still trying to bypass this rule and wearing their trainers all day. Now that the school field will come into use, a change of footwear after break will be needed more than ever.
- Pencil cases. These need to be fully stocked please. A fully equipped pencil case can be purchased from the school at a very reasonable £6.50. In particular the children need a spare pen, pencil, 30cm ruler and a working glue stick. Lessons can be delayed when children are scrabbling about trying to find the correct equipment.
