English Home Learning – Friday 19th September 2014
This week we have been learning about the effective use of
similes in poetry to compare one thing with another. For home learning please
write some sentences to describe a member of your family.
E.g. My brother is as cool as a cucumber. His t-shirt is as blue
as the sky on a summer’s day. He can run as fast as a cheetah and can swim like
a dolphin in the water.
Remember to write neatly, in full sentences and join up your
letters where possible.
