This week we have been using a number line to count on to the next 100 or 1000 and to give change. We have also been looking at factors (numbers that multiply together).

2. Write down all the factor pairs for the following numbers:

1. Solve these problems:
    

1. I bought a book for £4.85  I paid for it with a £10 note. How much change will I get?
    
   b.  I bought a cup of tea for £1.50 and an apple for £1.20 I paid for them with a
   £10 note. How much change will I get?

1. I spend £10 and bought a T shirt.  I was given £5.51 change.  How much did the T shirt cost?
    
2. Miss Jones was given a £2 coin, a 50p and two 20p coins as change from a ticket  
           machine.  She had paid with a £10 note.  How much was the ticket she bought?
