Year 4 Summer Term Newsletter

Year 4 Summer Term 2015
Welcome back after a wonderful Easter Break.  This term we will be starting our Geography topic based on Brazil & South America.  This topic will also be linked to our English Units of Work as well as our Art, DT & PE.
In Science we will be investigating Rocks and Soils and Habitats. We are hoping to organise a trip to Kew Gardens to support our Science and Geography topics. Details to be confirmed shortly.

Just a few general reminders...
·        A full PE kit must be in school at all times please, particularly in the Summer Term with Sports Day only a few weeks away.
·        Black Indoor Shoes please...  Some children are still trying to bypass this rule and wearing their trainers all day.  Now that the school field will come into use, a change of footwear after break will be needed more than ever.
·        Pencil cases.  These need to be fully stocked please.  A fully equipped pencil case can be purchased from the school at a very reasonable £5.  In particular the children need a spare pen, pencil, 30cm ruler and a working glue stick.
