Year 4 English Home
learning. W/E 3rd October 2014
This week we
have begun a module of historical narrative fiction. We have spent time looking
at how powerful verbs, adverbs and adjectives can improve a piece of writing to
create a picture in the mind.
Improve each
of the following sentences by adding extra information, changing the verb and
including an adverb and adjective. Label each change you make. Remember to
write neatly using joined up handwriting.
E.g.
The boy
touched the dog. – The little boy gently patted the excitable puppy.
