Year 4 Home Learning due in Monday 9th June 2014

English

We have been learning about Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, which explain how the world/people or animals were created. Many of the tales, have a moral. Think about a time when you have learnt something from a mistake. For example, I was carrying too many things in my arms at once, going up the stairs, when I dropped some things and tripped and fell. I ended up banging my chin and biting my tongue quite hard, so eating was painful. The next time I had to carry lots of things upstairs, I did two journeys. The moral of my story is: do not carry too much, two or three trips would be better.

Children need to write about a page of their Home Learning books describing a similar event, which explicitly states the moral at the end. Try to be creative and descriptive with your writing, but is only two paragraphs, not two pages.
