This week we have been learning vocabulary and facts all to do
with measures.
The children will be tested next Monday to make sure they know
these facts:
Calendar
and time facts
· The order
of the Months of the Year
· There are
365 days in a year except for a leap year which has 366.
· Know the
rhyme, 30 days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31, save February alone
that has 28 days clear and 29 in each leap year.
· There are
12 months in a year.
· There are
52 weeks in a year.
· There are
24 hours in day.
· There are 60
minutes in an hour.
· There are 60
seconds in a minute.
Length
facts
· 10mm = 1cm,
· 100cm = 1m,
· 1000m = 1km
Mass and
capacity
· 1000g =
1kg
· 1000ml =
1L
Money
· 100p = £1
The children will be asked questions as in: How many pence in
one pound? Etc.
Please learn all of these facts and ask an adult to test you.

questions like: How many cm in 3 metres? How many mm in 7cm? Etc.
